বিগত সবগুলো সংসদ নির্বাচনের পরিসংখ্যান: চট্টগ্রাম -১, মীরস্বরাই আসন

মীরসরাই বাংলাদেশের চট্টগ্রাম জেলার অন্তর্গত একটি উপজেলা । আগামী ৩০ ডিসেম্বর একাদশ জাতীয় সংসদ নির্বাচনের ভোটগ্রহণ অনুষ্ঠিত হতে যাচ্ছে৷ ১৯৭৩ সালে দেশের প্রথম সংসদ নির্বাচন থেকে শুরু করে বাংলাদেশে ১০টি সংসদ নির্বাচন অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। চট্টগ্রাম জেলার এই আসনে ১৯৭৩ সালে ১ম সংসদ নির্বাচন থেকে নির্দিষ্ট জেলা আসনে প্রার্থী প্রদান শুরু করে। ১৯৭৯ সালে অনুষ্ঠিত ২য় সংসদ নির্বাচন থেকে বাংলাদেশের পরবর্তী নির্বাচনগুলো প্রধান দুদলের মধ্যে প্রতিদন্দ্বী হয়ে ওঠে। যে কারণে এই আসনের সংসদ নির্বাচন গুলো ছিল বেশি আমেজ ও উৎসব মুখর। চট্টগ্রামের প্রবেশদ্বার পাহাড় আর সাগরঘেরা জনপদ মীরসরাই। ১৬টি ইউনিয়ন ও দুটি পৌরসভা নিয়ে গঠিত ২৭৮ নম্বর চট্টগ্রাম-১ (মীরসরাই) আসন। জনসমর্থনের দিক দিয়ে আওয়ামী লীগ ও বিএনপি এখানে প্রায় সমান সমান। তবে প্রতিটি নির্বাচনে এ আসনে অল্প ভোটের ব্যবধানে জয়-পরাজয় নির্ধারণ হয়। যে দল নির্বাচনী মাঠে শক্তি-সামর্থ্য আর কৌশলের রসায়ন ঘটাতে পারবে জয় তাদের সুনিশ্চিত স্বাধীনাত্তোর অতীতে দেখা গেছে প্রতিটি নির্বাচনে। ১ম সংসদ এ ১৯৭৩ সালে ইঞ্জিনিয়ার...

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today made an interesting conversation with Sophia, the humanoid robot. The premier was introduced to Sophia at an inaugural ceremony of Digital World 2017 exposition in Dhaka. The conversation was also quite enjoyable to the audience who had been present at the programme and other viewers. Sophia is a humanoid robot developed by Hong Kong-based company Hanson Robotics. It has been designed to respond to questions, and has been interviewed around the world. A Myanmar military report that said no Rohingya civilians were killed during a months-long crackdown is "absurd" and the International Criminal Court must now launch its own investigation, a human rights group said. Myanmar's army released a report late on Monday that found "no deaths of innocent people" after deadly attacks by Rohingya rebels on several police posts in northern Rakhine state on August 25 sparked a brutal military campaign. The army said 376 "terrorists" were killed in fighting after the August attacks. The crackdown led to the mass exodus of about 600,000 Rohingya civilians who fled the predominantly Buddhist country into neighbouring Bangladesh.
